Yesterday's Eggs

The noontime sun was coming in through the woodshed door just right...

My hens are gearing down for the winter now. We'll have to get some new chicks next spring, these girl are all getting old. Their production is dramatically reduced from last year.

In a few weeks, I'll be buying my eggs from the grocery just like everyone else!

Only organic, cage-free ones, of course.
