Views of my world

Rainbow

I had written off today as another dull, drench day but was hopeful when I left work in golden evening sunlight that I might get a decent blip before darkness fell.

As I drove home along the motorway I could see the rain and clouds lingering over Greenock with the sun beginning to dip behind a bank of cloud above Kilmacolm. This created a stunning rainbow which sat over the Clyde to my right and I was almost holding my breath from Erskine to Bishopton hoping that the rainbow would stay long enough to be blipped.

I pulled off the m8 at Bishopton and parked at the wee lay-by at West Ferry to get this shot. Seconds later the clouds won, the sun vanished, and dull and drench took over once more.

Now I can relax for the evening safe in the knowledge that my blip is done for another day.
