Winner's walk

Actually, this boardwalk is part of a park. It meanders over the marshland - a delightful walk amongst all sorts of trees and plants native to the area. The park is between the mainland and the Intracoastal Waterway.

The ship you see in the background is one of two that leave several times a day for off shore gambling. The current law only permits wagering outside a 7 mile boundary. This form of 'losing your money' is very popular with tourists and many locals as well.

I guess when you're on holiday, the prospect of winning (or losing) is OK - it's money to be spent for leisure activities.
