i was teaching the grade 7s at kristin's school today when she got called away to check on the headteacher who was in hospital after a car accident.

the accident was two weeks ago and he had already been discharged but then he deteriorated again quite fast and was back in hospital.

when she went there she found him convulsing, tied to the bed and unable to speak. it seems he head injury was not dealt with properly and they suspected bleeding in the brain. the nearest CT scanner is in kitwe, 45 mins away. after chasing round to find an ambulance it was discovered that the CT scanner in kitwe was broken, he would have to be taken to lusaka (5 hours away).

after kristin spent the afternoon trying to find an ambulance, he is now on his way to lusaka. it's really not looking great. for those of you who pray, please pray for labstone chanda.
