This is the derelict site of a company called steetly magnesite , here they used to extract magnesia from seawater by mixing it with dolomite . When i was young we lived pretty close to here and had to put up with horrible sulphurous yellow fumes from this chimney.
Soon it is all to be demolished to make way for a housing estate , it'll be good to watch that chimney go.
