Lichen with legs

I am very lucky to work with a great bunch of very talented and committed conservationists. One of them is the Lancashire County Moth recorder and regularly he comes in with plastic pots from his previous nights activities (mothing that is). This is a Merveille Du Jour beautifully camouflaged against the oak bark. Low light was a bit tricky to get a good DOF. Mervielle Du Jour translates as Marvel of the Day it certainly made mine.
