Annular rings

The centre bull's eye was laid down in the first year of the life of the tree. Each year afterward the tree formed two rings, one light and wide (during the rapid growth of summer) and one dark and thin (during the slow growth of winter).

Counting the annular rings to see how many years of growth this tree had, I suspect rather alot, (well, at least thirty).
