visiting the place where i 'grew-up'

it took over three years, but i finally returned to nanjing!

my friends and i woke-up at 5:45 am to catch our 8:00 am train. after the hour and a half ride, we arrived in nanjing and proceeded to purple mountain via bus. although i was wary of the thin metal ropes and rickety noises, my friends wanted to take a monorail to the peak of the mountain (the above photo was taken on the monorail). afterwards, we checked out the nanjing library and ate lunch on hunan road. by this time, it was late afternoon, so i brought my friends to fashion lady shopping center. it was strange being back there because my china friends from 2008 and i used to hang-out there a lot. i really miss my old china friends! being back in nanjing was really nostalgic and i am thankful that i currently have another chance to be in china! we made it back to our dorms around 10:30 pm.
