Recession. What recession?

Not a lot of evidence of a recession when you're out and about hobnobbing with the rich and famous. I was looking all around to see if I could see any other tight belts, as mine is cutting off my blood supply. Seems I'm alone.

Breezing amongst the wealth and opulence having a great time, I was minded of phrase that was often coined in my golf club when any hardship was spoken of:

"I've been rich and I've been poor. Rich is better!"
On the evidence of my afternoon, I could go along with that!

I was told that there were less bankers out than there used to be. I still managed to spot this one, funded it seems by 'your local bank'! Funny how they don't seem to be up with the 'local' sensitivities in their own country on displays of opulence by bankers.

Anonymity may have been better, subtle as it is.
