Streptocarpus bud

Not able to get a shot at work today and the weather was rainy. So it looks like the old winter standby, the plant macro.
I'm sure that I have blipped our Streptocarpii before, but they are such good value...months of flowers and they can be propagated by cutting off a bit of leaf and sticking it in some compost. The only problem is that some of the more interestingly patterned flowers have huge, ugly leaves.

In other news: Why has no-one noticed this mathematical proof before?
