I love this wool!

One of the oldest breeds of sheep, the merino is originally from Spain, but it is now mostly found in Australia. My ball of wool is actually Italian, although I can't vouch for its pedigree!

Said to be the most luxurious wool in the world, merino super fine wool claims to be finer than cashmere, which comes from a goat, not a sheep and is actually down or hair rather than wool.

This ball of wool is not going to be knitted up as such but will still be made into something that will be worn.....!
