Flying pizza...

This pizza has travelled 20,000 miles! I showed the children how in my assembly today:-
Pizza Base from Italy (using flour from North America)
Tomatoes from Italy
Pineapple from Kenya
Peppers from Denmark
Mushrooms from UK
Salami from Germany
Mozzarella from Italy
Black pepper from Brazil

We're celebrating harvest at the moment and I was trying to show all the children just how global our food is nowadays :)
