Ice Bar

This was without doubt the worst of the pictures I had today but I made it my Blip as it was a memory of a particularly nice experience.

This was taken inside the Ice Bar. Outside the temperature was soaring but inside we had to put on gloves and a huge heavy cape to keep from freezing! Everything apart from the drinks is made of ice. The bar, the seats, the tables, and some ice sculptures. Even the glass you get your drink in is made of ice - hence the gloves. The picture shows the barman just after he poured the drinks. (The heat fairly hits you when you go back out!).

Getting a bit nervous about the journey home tomorrow night. The Greek air traffic controllers are just about to start a 24 hour strike. There will certainly be disruption but I don't of course know the extent of it yet. Fingers crossed its not too bad.
