Fork Trucking

My first full time job was as a Fork truck driver. I had never driven one and at the interview I was told if you can drive a car a fork truck was not a problem. I lasted on the truck for about 10 minutes I was working at a patio slab factory and I was not fast enough on it to keep up. So I went on the packing line! All my working life has involved fork truck and even today in my shirt and tie I had to jump on this to help some gas fitters installing a new gas blower.
