Kowhai and Tui again

Another tui in a kowhai tree.

I promised myself that I'd blip something else today, but ....

I figure I'm allowed more photos of them because they will only be around for a little longer, then they'll disappear back into the bush until the flax is flowering.

I do love the way they almost twist themselves into pretzels and end up with their beaks rammed into the flowers as far as they will go, so their heads almost disappear too. No wonder they end up with pollen all over their faces.
