Somebody Elses Clothes

I've been having an odd personal battle today. People leave their possessions behind and for some reason because I happen upon them, it crosses my mind to take the item. Someone left ipod headphones at a computer in the library and for a second I considered taking them. I have the same headphones already and don't want headphones used by someone else... but i still almost took them.
Pictured above is a scarf left in a bathroom. At first I thought I should take it. Never in my entire life would I wear a pink faux-fur scarf... so why did I even consider taking it?
