Birthday

It's not till a few days that the wee fellow turns 2, but today was a good day for a party. More an excuse for me to do a lot of baking. Scones, chocolat marble cake, shortbread, carrot cake, madeleines. There was also some NY style cheesecake, but I forgot to take it out of the fridge.

Now of course while I was photographing all this, who sneaked in to sneak away with a madeleine?

P.s. this is also our new dining table. I'm very pleased with it. It's 1x2.1m and can extend to 3.3m. which means we'd have no living room left (since the dining table is in the living room), but a nice dinner with friends instead when we do (I've invited them over for next week to "officially" christen the new table). I'm sure pictures will follow
