Go Ape
Today was Jeff's birthday *party*. Following his birthday yesterday, when Elizabeth sung "birthday daddy, birthday daddy" to him. :)
But today Jeff and others were swinging round the trees in Thetford Forest on Go Ape. While Elizabeth, her nana, auntie Carla and me played in the park and walked around trying to spot the Apes.
Elizabeth had a great time playing in the sand first of all. She helped a little boy fill up his bucket with sand, she frightened another boy away and she tried to squeeze into a little wooden house with some older girls.
Then she played on the slide, but got stopped by a rude little boy who would not budge off the top of the slide. He wasn't much older than Elizabeth, yet he had no one looking after him at all. We waited about 10 minutes or so, then I picked Elizabeth up and placed her as close to the top of the slide as I could, so that she could still slide down. Then we found something better to do.
She was saying lots of new words, including "auntie". I'm not sure if her uncle Jeremy will be very keen on being called "auntie" Jeremy...
After the forest, most of the group came back to the house for food and birthday cake. We sat outside and Elizabeth entertained everyone.
