In the long grass

Really delighted to hit the spotlight yesterday , thank you everyone , even though the subject was a bit nasty.

This wet, warm weather is making the grass grow so much, the garden now looks like a wild meadow.
As we're heading off in two days time for the " Big Game " I simply had to get out and do something drastic regarding our so called lawn. Off course the lawn mower packed in half way through cutting the front lawn. Think I might have to borrow some of Gavin's sheep from the farm over the road to get the job done.

Reduced to watching the wild rabbits who have settled in the garden next door ( a holiday home, occupied three or four times a year) as they chomp their way through the rain sodden , long grass in our back garden. Perhaps when we get back they might have munched through all of the grass . Somehow I doubt it.

More rain predicted for tomorrow but so busy tomorrow I won't have time to notice it.
