A first attempt at a 7-shot panorama - hand-held because I couldn't be arsed to set up the tripod.

Still no movement on the cygnet front - perhaps the blackcountry man was right, and the eggs are addled. He was saying the gestation period was 35 to 39 days, and looking back on blip, I think they've exceeded that. I wonder how long she will be sitting there before she finally twigs the possibility that nothing is going to happen. Does she have an internal clock? Will she get up out of her nest after more than a month and just carry on as though nothing has happened? Whatever happens, I shall be there to record it.

I decided yesterday to get a bit of my life back and go to the gym instead of sitting at this damn computer, blipping. I had a gentle go on the machines and a swim, and I'll tell you what, afterwards I felt absolutely shite. I didn't get much sleep last night either - tossing and turning - probably felt guilty about missing the first blip day this year.

I think there's football on the telly tonight.
