Saturday's Celebrations

We arrived in the Lakes last night after a long journey due to an excessive volume of people trying to get to Blackpool. We are visiting the Lakes for the weekend to celebrate the 80th birthday of my grandma.

This morning I finished off the cake - a challenge when it was chocolate and very hot & humid. We then drove to my Grandma's house to start the celebrations.

The afternoon was spent entertaining various guests who called round to congratulate the birthday girl before collecting the men of the family from a (very conveniently timed!) beer festival in time for a celebratory glass of fizz before dinner.
