Pitlochry Festival Theatre

I first went to PFT in 1959, and I have always enjoyed going back. Its "new" setting (since about 1975) is beautiful, and I had hoped to be able to photograph it on a brilliantly sunny day. But, alas! out brief summer has been and gone. Today was pouring wet.

This is not a remarkable photograph except for one detail - it is the first time that I have used software to stitch several photographs together. I was standing far too close to the theatre to be able to take it all in; so I took a series of four photos covering the whole of it. I dropped them into 'Double Take', which comes bundled with my computer, and I was amazed at how smooth the merging looks.
