Something special about a car ferry

Not just that it was the beginning of 14 days of sun, sun, sun. I always found it to somehow be a special "event" getting on the ferry at Dover to cross over to the Continent!
I think this ferry is british built. I saw a plaque on board & went to get the camera but got distracted & with only a 15 minute crossing, it was too late to get back. I suspect the ferries used here in Croatia between Jablanac and Misnjak on the island of Rab once served the Isle of Wight or perhaps somewhere in Scotland.
Anyway there followed 14 days of extreme heat +30°C & staying above 25°C until at least midnight. Water temperature 26°C!
