New occupants moved in?

hopefully though it (they) are just moving through. Would normally have no problem if a beaver family moved in but a) we have a flooding problem as is, b) we have been trying for years to build/keep/add more trees & shrubs to our hedging as a wind/snow/sight/noise barrier. There are about 10, fifty year old poplars in the hedge & they are likely to give up the ghost soon and when they go, they will leave a large gap. The beaver has had a go at one of the poplars but quickly gave up. See how it goes & if necessary get the local animal conservation group to help find a solution.
