The Queen of Sheba
These tulips are called the Queen of Sheba - she was obviously a flamboyant woman, as there's nothing retiring about these flowers.
They are a mid to late tulip and have pointed petals, they are Turkish in origin I think. They seem to last longer than Dutch tulips, and generally have longer stems. They seem to stand up to the weather well too. I just love the colours.
