Sunrise in Blackpool
Hi I have had a wonderful weekend in Blackpool at my mum and dads hotel it was so nice to see them both again. My mum has a degenerative disease that has affected really bad over the last two years it has affected her balance and coordination. Two years ago she was the strongest woman I have ever known, she was the typical Blackpool landlady who was more than capable of sorting out anything that a party of hen or stag party's could through her way. She is the mother of seven kids. Then two years ago she picked up a pillow and a pillow case and it may sound silly but she could not put the pillow in the case she thought it was funny and joked about it two years later she is in a wheelchair can't walk feed herself or do anything much at all and she finds it very hard to talk. I think that is the hardest thing of all as she is unable to let anyone know what she wants or needs. But despite all of her own problems over the last few day she has laughed so much which has lifted my spirits so much. It is an amazing thing when you see a person with more reason than most to sit and cry just sit and laugh and laugh. So I am never going to sit and mope again and if I have learned anything this weekend it is life is short so get out there and live it love it and laugh as much as you can.
