Waiting for the thrill
We did one of those outrageously overpriced fast car experineces today in Staffordshire. However, after the cross-country dash up hills, down valleys, round hairpins and avoiding tractors to get there, it seemed quite tame.
Ha, who am I kidding?! It started with a Renault Clio on a small track with wet hairpins for a bit of handbrake fun. It was.
Then Mrs Hollow went in an Evo whilst I got a couple of passenger hot laps in a suped-up Focus.
Then I got to go in an Audi R8 - Blimey Riley - that's a fast beast of a car - as Mrs Hollow had her passenger laps.
To finish off, Mrs Hollow had to settle for a Lamborghini Gallardo as someone had caused "structual damage" to the Ferrari 360. Ha - settle for a Lambo! I then went for some final fun in the Evo - I liked that a lot!! On the last lap he advised me on some very late braking and it was a little scary. As I drive a Fiat 500 I am certainly not used to such power :-/
The little Hollows were great, watching Mum and Dad play for a change.
All the pics are here if you want to see the cars. All shot with a tiny Canon Powershot as I didn't want to leave the Nikon with the girls as we drove. OK for the £65 I paid for it!
