Confused.

When I saw - with horror - that the paddling pool down at Brighton was dry as a bone today I honestly thought at first that all the water must have evaporated. Then I had a vague recollection that they empty it for the winter. But how strange - it was still summer, surely? Then I remembered that it was actually October. We weren't the only ones confused, either!

So, instead of cooling off in the pool, we made sandcastles, had ice cream, then had lunch at 'Buddies' and then joined several thousand other people for a paddle in the sea.
