Canal Dreams

Another hot day in the South, so I took advantage of the nice weather to go for a cycle along the Grand Union Canal to Hanwell flight of locks.
Built in 1794, the six locks raise the canal 53 feet, & have been designated a Scheduled Ancient Monument by English Heritage.
I took lots of snaps but am not really happy with any of them. However I quite like the force of the water rushing between the lock gates here, & the way the water looks a bit like smoke.

Hope you've all had a good weekend!
