Thoughts of Africa

So now my thoughts turn to Africa. In 2 weeks I will finish work. After that I will have about 5 weeks in the UK before I fly to Africa. How do I feel? Excited and scared. It seems to me that when you tell people you are going to Africa, they are keen to tell you about the bad things over there. How they got robbed in Nairobi. How their friend got a parasitic worm in his leg. How the poverty there is gut wrenching.

All these stories have given me second thoughts over the last few months but they won't put me off. I believe life is about experiences. And this will be one hell of an experience.
