....I get a New Toy..........

Shaun bought himself a new reel this morning....in Chelsea blue......I'm saying nothing.....and then he offered me this.....a Shimano Stradio.

Shimano have always made outstanding reels....and this is a beauty. In recent years they've made other fishing gear and I own a Shimano pole which is a dream to fish with. I also have a reel, a Shimano Sahara which has a beautiful smooth action. This one is so well engineered it is virtually free running, no wobble, no sticky point. If you spin the handle it just runs and runs and runs.

I tried to persuade Shaun to sell this on ....but he insisted I had to have it., he says it will improve my fishing, I'll miss less bites and I'm virtually gauranteed never to lose a fish. So tomorrow is the day to try it out, the water will have warmed up again, the fish should be feeding and it's supposed to be a nice day, not as hot as today (my car thermometer read 31 degrees C at noon), possibly even some cloud cover.
