Mum's garden (4)

As the final days of summer reach us, I try to make the most of every drop, so after work, just before the sun sets I find myself here again in my mother's garden. It's like the rainforest, and today it certainly felt like it.

Full of all things tropical and exotic; the Bird of Paradise is not in bloom so I picked this prickly thing instead. Just like me, it thrives on the warmth, and when the cold comes it will be mighty miserable :)
