Eats Shoots and Leaves
Duncan diving into the leaf-pile the children made in St Andrew Square, Edinburgh. We sat down in this lovely park for a picnic (Eats), a kick around of Malcolm's new football (Shoots) and then the children ran around gathering leaves (and eh... Leaves) and variously jumping in them, throwing them at each other and burying each other in them. Lots more on Flickr.
We were in town to shop for Duncan's camp next week - 4 nights (not 7, thanks Mo) with the Primary 7 children from all the local schools which feed into Dunbar Grammar - and managed to get a huge haul with something for everyone. Wellies x 3, boots, shoes, socks, Blackberry cover, water bottle, football, Boots Meal Deal x 3 (enough for 5!), comics, random toys.
After lunch, the boys went home early - on the bus on their own! - whilst the little ones and I went to the Museum of Childhood. I dragged Gordon up the street he was SO BORED... and of course he loved it and we had a great time.
So, another lovely day together and tomorrow to pack for Duncan's big adventure.
BTW, St Andrew Square was closed for 238 years and opened a few years ago. Which is handy!
