I've blanked out the disappointment of Scotland's defeat in the Rugby World Cup and instead launched myself into Scotland's Indian summer.

I had great entertainment watching the antics of cars, buses, vans, cyclists and pedestrians all struggling through the floods this afternoon.

One guy actually stopped after he had inched his way through and as he was convinced I was from the "cooncil", he launched into a huge whinge about the state of the roads and what was I going to do about them. Amazing.
