It's Just A Ride...

Money, It's A Gas!

Today I finally caved and bought the newly released Immersion box set for Pink Floyd's iconic album, the Dark Side Of the Moon.

Now, don't get me wrong, this is one of my all time favourite albums but the box was priced at £100 and contains some of the most pointless extras I've ever seen in a collectors edition. For your £100 you get the album, fully remastered, 4 different mixes of it across two CDs, a DVD and a Blu-Ray with a documentary, live album, live DVD and unreleased tracks as well as two art books, an exclusive print and - here's the stupid extras - a set of marbles, a replica backstage pass, the tiniest postcards ever produced, a waffer thin scarf and a set of cardboard coasters.

Luckily, I work for Hmv so, not only did I get my 30% discount but I also had a £30 gift card, I got this box for around £40.

I'm not gloating... If I didn't have that I wouldn't have bought it purely because it's a lot of money for such a set. I'd say it's worth £50 at the most.

Still, it adds to my collection.
