Something to look forward to...

I needed something to cheer me up today.

Another average day at work with the prospect of an interrupted weekend was topped off by another leaving do as the latest member of the team to fall in the rolling period of redundancy that has gone on at our place for the past couple of years now (new system, new faces - no place for the old guard; we're all on a sticky wicket)!

You know the writing is on the wall when the ex-employees outnumber the current staff at one of these things and while it was excellent to catch up with everyone it left me slightly depressed at the prospects for the future. The only sliver of light in the pool of black was boring everyone to death about my blipping!

There was an envelope sitting behind the door. I'd completely forgotten these would be dropping through it. Now I have to admit that K626 isn't exactly the cheeriest piece but I think it is absolutely sublime and I could listen to it forever (in fact, I'll give you one guess as to what I'm blipping to tonight)!

Now I'm off to watch My Cousin Vinny. Great film that never fails to raise I smile!
