Tidy
This is my workstation in the office, or as it was first thing this morning. Yes I know it's a mess, but in my defence I've not been in the office for over a week or so, and so people just leave things on my desk, I think I need a PA. But I've been getting some grief lately to tidy things up, so first thing this morning I spent the morning tidying things up and throwing things out. I'm often out of the office and because my job involves a lot of paperwork it doesn't take long for the desk to get in a mess, I don't like working in a mess and it's slightly embarrassing when I'm there out on site promoting tidy and safe working areas.
It's amazing to think we are in the 21st century and supposedly working in a paperless office, when rather ironically I think we now generate more paper than we ever did before. Is the paperless office a reality or a dream? I would be interested to hearing your thoughts.
Of course we all need to do our bit and think and be more sustainable, and in Wales tomorrow we see the introduction of charges for using plastic bags when shopping, from tomorrow it's going to cost you 5p if you get free plastic bags from Tesco and the like. On the Welsh news tonight they were talking about it like it was a doomsday scenario and in towns and cities across Wales it would be shopping chaos. Bagmageddon if you like! (I like that, Lol) I haven't accepted a free bag for about 2 years as I carry a plastic bag with me at all times, it's just a habit I've got into.
I didn't think about it at the time but I should have done a before and after shot, so you could see the improvement that I made, but hey ho! October Origin Challenge starts tomorrow looking forward to it!
