MCS Pride
At the end of a very memorable and emotional day I put my feet up and relived the moments of this special event through my photos. It was only then that I realised just how huge this day was in our young school's history.
We officially opened the newly built classrooms of our High School as part of the school's 10th birthday celebrations. It was such a proud moment felt by all who were there today - learners, parents, teachers, directors and guests.
The days success rested in the fact that each and every member of staff played a part and went the extra mile. We swelled with pride as a school today - reaching new heights! The learners were on their best behaviour, their talents shown for all to see. There were many "goose flesh" moments as the speakers at our formal assembly retraced the path that was taken to get to this moment, when the bagpiper played as the children formed a guard of honour, when the choir sang for their first time and as the official plaque was revealed.
The school was awash with the colours of hundreds of flowers in the most beautiful arrangements. We enjoyed a "country lunch" under a bedouin tent and were just in awe of all we have achieved in such a short time. Looking through the newly created journals chronicling the school's history was one of the highlights - bringing back happy memories for many who have been at the school since the start.
What an honour to have played a part in the creation of this wonderful school and to know that it will continue to grow from strength to strength. Here's to the future of The Mountain Cambridge School - the little school with the big dreams!
Undoubtedly MCS is one of the gems in My Magic Kingdom!
