Promenading again

Mrs K and I have taken to getting up off our lazy erses during the week and going for a walk along the esplanade (weather permitting). I'm wondering if it's psychological input to determine whether we want to get a dog or not? My daughter has been on at us ever since she decided that she was no longer scared witless by them (an overnight transformation!!) but I have been manfully resisting.....so far!
