YESTERDAY EVENING
the most glorious sunset at Kijkduin. The three of us enjoy the view and eat pancakes at Klein Seinpost to celebrate! Our little hall full of boxes, roll-bags, cases, etc. Piet Hein and Mischa install her in her room, sleep well, have good dreams, tomorrow another day to unpack.
This morning the summer still continues and we cycle to the sea. A walk along the beach, on the sand of the Zandmotor so many birds to see, we are happy, we live in Strandland (Beachland).
Piet Hein goes into the sea, swims a bit. Mischa and I we sit on the sand, relaxed.
There is a lot to do at home, lunch and a good start at it.
My haiku:
The trained horses
A lovely ride along the sea
Watch out little dog!
And the proverb is Chinese:
In a wind horses and cows do not agree.
I was born at a farm in Nijkerk, my parents were evacuated from Arnhem September 1944 as everybody was because of the battle to start there soon.
So in a way I am familiar with the way of living between cows and horses.
And the dreadful sounds of fighting aircrafts above our heads. Within six months after my birth we could move back to Arnhem.
No time to learn about the proverbs of the farming life, let alone the Chinese ones.
