Bush Stone Curlew.

This prehistoric looking bird, mostly comes out at night, but sometimes I see them in the early afternoon.

They stand between 50 - 57 cm high, so are quite tall and apparently they are becoming very rare, so I'm glad there's a little colony living over the road, in the bush near the beach.

Most of the others ran away when I approached, but this one allowed me to get quite close. They should be used to people as a lot go to the beach there.

The weather today has been back to it's glorious self, temps reached 28C.
This meant everyone came out to play, soooo busy.
