Dinner....

Apparently this is quite common in the Autumn (although it feels like Summer!) - masses of European Garden Spiders knocking about the place..... We found this one just wrapping up her (the females are the ones you find in the webs apparently) packed lunch for tomorrow. This is living proof that spiders are good - because they eat flies (or hover flies in this case!)

We have hundreds in our tiny little garden, which we don't mind, except you have to be on the look out for the near invisible webs at head height, or you get a bit of a shock! C has one that hangs outside his bedroom window - he has christened it Suzi Spider!!
