HELP I'm ENDANGERED

The yellow eyed penguin is an endangered species. I went down to North Otago
in the South Island especially to spend a bit of time with them.
Really enjoyed the time - but was running a bit late and got the wrath of the caretaker for being a bit late in the evening. This sort of took the gloss off things as I got into her bad books. I think she likes the penguins better than people - and I can understand that.

Her main beef is that the locakl council and central Govt are not doing enough to protect these little chaps. I can see that this is the case. The place we went into is pretty run down and there is not much education going on at the site. The caretaker obviously cant do it all. Its a shame on the District Councils part I think. I few guiding fences would certainly help keep people from getting in the pathway of these birds as they come back each night to their nests.

I really enjoyed and encounter - I never did work out how to turn off the flash on the G10 - and the B..... thing kept going off . I must learn how to turn it off -
