"Mondo" Bananas

The mega storm that hit us a couple of days ago left one banana plant, full of fruit, bent in half. We carefully trimmed each bunch and hopefully they ripen well off the tree. These "Mondo" variety are not as common as the one's we buy in the supermarkets. Usually eaten after a few minutes of boiling, they are much smaller and have a firm chewy bite.

The past month had me flying back and forth to be with my mum. She is now in the post-op stage and things are looking fine, but for her Alzheimers which is quickly setting in. Thank you for your kind words and concern. They are a comfort to me. I really have to get my groove back now. I miss it.
