Sunrise to Sunset
Having worked out that the sun would rise over our little Cala Llonga bay, Gary Neil and I were up before it was light to capture the moment. We briskly walked down the hill in the cool morning air to the beach and got there just before 7am. As we turned the corner around the headland this was the sight that greeted us. It was like something straight off the cover of a photo magazine. Like 3 ants who had just discovered a cube of sugar we scuttled off excitedly to lap it up.
The small issue of Wales' first game in the rugby world cup 2011 followed and I'm ashamed to say that we screamed the bar down and scared off most of the locals as Wales pushed South Africa, the reigning world champions, within an inch of their lives. Final score: Wales 16 South Africa 17.
Tonight we visited the world famous Cafe Mambo to watch the sun go down. Armed with our tripods and cameras, we were a little disappointed as the sun went down with a whimper. For all the talk of Ibiza's famous sunsets, it was the sunrise this morning that took my breath away.
Look at it large.
