A lovely evening in York. Gorgeous meal at Go Down restaurant - never disappoints! Then a stroll by the river to walk off a few calories. Very strange walking through all the autumn leaves on the ground - in temperature of 28 at 7 in the evening! So weird. Riverside cafes were packed and it was like river rush hour with so many boats. So lovely here in the sun.

Then to the Grand Opera House to see Echo and the Bunnymen. We love live music and it was a great show. Strange how frontman Ian McCulloch will not have any lighting on him though! And how he kept his coat on the whole time was beyond us! Great show or not - we left early as the heat was unbearable. A sold out concert so packed to the hilt and no air conditioning! We were wilting fast. So we listened to them on the iPhone in an air conditioned car on the way home instead :-)

But a great evening all round. Bed now - might have to dig the summer quilt out again though! Night all.
