split...
...rose hip
they continue to fascinate me... the rose hip - in all their splendor... and each one i see tells a different story
many were vying for attention - however this one today won the prize...
for it's split - rendered open... showing me inside of the hip - which i've always wanted to see. now i'm privy to observing the fine hairs - apparently they can cause great itching so be careful of them - and look at those seeds... although by their darkened color, i believe they're beyond the point of usefulness if i wanted to replant them. i was thrilled to gaze upon this internal wonder...
and if you're interested... no i didn't do anything to this shot - i know it appears as though i did. well, truth be told - i cropped it some, but that's all. otherwise, it's straight out of the camera... it's one of the reasons it won the prize for the day - for its appearance. i mean just look at that glossy finish will you? how is that possible? doesn't it look like a brush has been taken and a fine film of varnish or shellack been applied? like a glaze almost... it's totally nature that's done that... the deep saturated color? i did nothing to enhance it - so incredible, really. hanging in pure, slightly open and revealing, natural beauty... calling to me... taunting me...
to have a
happy day.....
