Kansas in Klacks
Only took the wee camera out tonight on the bike; the night's are creeping in so rather than waste precious minutes packing all the gear it was a bit of a mad dash to get down to the banks of the Forth for some splashing through the mud. Actually, at some points, it was hard to distinguish what was just mud and what was various flavours of farmyard animal deposits. Just closed my mouth and went for it anyway. The warm weather seems to have brought out clouds of bugs again, so keeping mouth's closed was a good idea.
This section of the track joins up with the old railway lines that used to cross the Forth and head over to Larbert south of the river. Found an interesting aerial shot of the route taken by the Luftwaffe on a reconnaissance flight over the area in 1939. I think the Royal Naval armaments depot nearby may have been of more interest than our wee town though.
Bumped into another local blipper very briefly this morning. There's not the same concentration of us as in the spiritual home of blip downriver from here, so it's always nice to catch up with a fellow enthusiast. He did have his camera in hand, but I think he was taking pictures of window blinds or something for a job so not sure if that'll be making an appearance in his journal. It was good to catch up Chris, even if it was just a very brief chat.
That's now a full page filled with this series. ono
