Sumtumn or Autummer?

What is going on with the weather! If I closed my eyes today I could have been back in Lanzarote. I'm not now sure if the trees aren't actually just sunburnt and not readying themselves for the Autumn-drop.

I fought my way down to the Quayside through the very overgrown gardens at lunchtime. There were quite a lot of people fishing, and a couple of horrible oafs who caught an eel and so thought it fit to stamp on it's head just as I walked by, yuck.
