Mustafa

This boy was selling stamps and post cards for charity, a great tradition in which schools participate. I even sold them when I was young. I asked if I could take the boy's picture (which I seem to find less terrifying with children) so Mustafa with the beautiful greenish eyes and serene face posed for me. In this shot he's calculating the total price with his fingers. I think he will go far.

Mustafa came by as I was explaining the D3100 to A. who just bought one. Well, I tried. While I roughly understand how aperture, focal length, depth of field etc. work, it's kind of tough explaining it to a relative newbie. But it was worth it, I definitely learned a lot myself by bringing my knowledge into words. I'm really curious if he will manage to capture the Big 5 with the D3100 on his trip to Kenya - good luck A.!
